I used to have a hard time trimming my black-tan miniature dachshund's nails because they were black and the veins were not visible, but this grinder allowed me to trim them beautifully in a short time. You get what you pay for! I think it's the best method for dogs with black nails and no visible veins. They didn't resist it at all while I was trimming them, which was a relief.

Very happy with this purchase! I use it for both my dog and cat, and to show my dog that he doesn't have to be afraid. I do it on one of my nails before doing it on him. It reassures him because he doesn't like his nails done, but he tolerates it well.
My dog is afraid of scissors, but with this device she lay calmly and allowed me to trim her nails. I am 100% satisfied.
