I used to have a hard time trimming my black-tan miniature dachshund's nails because they were black and the veins were not visible, but this grinder allowed me to trim them beautifully in a short time. You get what you pay for! I think it's the best method for dogs with black nails and no visible veins. They didn't resist it at all while I was trimming them, which was a relief.

Super happy with this product. I trimmed the nails in the center because they were the longest (they were very long, to the point where they were crossing each other). The ones in the center were short, I'm missing the sides.
My dog is very naughty and at the first attempt she started barking, but after showing her that it didn't hurt (with treats) she let her nails be trimmed the next day. They must be patient if their dog is very shy.
